Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa), just captured prey (vole?) in the snow, near Sax-Zim Bog, Minnesota, USA. Natural behavior, unbaited bird. The birds locate prey under the snow by hearing, then plunge into the snow to capture the prey in their talons.
